Bellevue School District Receives State Award for Educational Excellence

Bellevue School District Receives State Award for Educational Excellence

The Bellevue School District is proud to be named one of the top 25 districts in the state for academic achievement. Our district was recognized by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) as part of the inaugural State Superintendent's Award for Educational Excellence, recognizing districts across Washington for their commitment to student success.

“We’re really proud of this recognition and what it says about our Bellevue community,” said BSD Superintendent, Dr. Kelly Aramaki. “It reflects the care, creativity, and hard work happening every day across our classrooms and schools, and the shared commitment of our educators, administrators, and families who ensure every student has the opportunities and support they need to learn, thrive, and become creators of their future world.”

Celebrating Washington School Districts

“When assessing student achievement, there are a number of school-based factors that contribute to student success,” said State Superintendent, Chris Reykdal. “Research shows that access to advanced coursework, readiness for success in kindergarten, and consistent attendance are strong indicators of learning and, combined with test scores, provide a more complete picture of student achievement. Our highest performing districts focus on these critical measures of success, and it is an honor to recognize them.”
